Office 365 Adoption Manager

Job Description:  Office 365 Trainer
Location:  Emeryville, CA
Job Type:  Six-month contract
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
My client is seeking an Office 365 Adoption Trainer, in their Emeryville, CA, office reporting into the Director of Infrastructure Operations who will apply change management methodologies and tools to implement strategies supporting adoption and sustainability of the Office 365 platform. The Trainer will foster buy-in and adoption, produce and distribute project material and deliver training with the following objectives: reducing resistance when changes occur, identifying how changes impact the organization, and ensuring business impact and risks are mitigated. The Office 365 Trainer will collaborate with staff at all levels throughout the client’s global organization as well as external resources.

Essential Functions of the job:
• Manage projects related to collaboration tool adoption or migrations including OneDrive, SharePoint and other Office 365 applications.
• Identify and track people, tools, and processes that use legacy collaboration platforms and facilitate migration to Office 365.
• Help drive adoption of Office 365 services by communicating benefits to users, monitoring usage and optimizing experience.
• Help migrate users out of legacy collaboration systems by finding alternative solutions on the Office 365 platform while communicating and helping users with the migration process.
• Design, develop, deliver and manage IT change communications.
• Design and delivery of training programs
• Dive adoption and proficiency of change within the organization in compliance with my client's CM policy
• Implement change management best practices and templates; Analyze existing content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities
• Serve as a subject matter expert of collaboration tools functionality in the enterprise.

Qualifications:
• Education Required: Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or Life Sciences or other related area.
• Three (3) to Five (5) years of work experience in a change management or training role in an IT organization or in the high-tech or Biotech industry, and / or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• 3+ years of experience in project management and resource management
• Experience with roll out of Teams, Skype for Business and Office 365 products.
• Prior experience administrating and deploying collaboration apps such as One Drive, Zoom, Skype for Business, Office 365 and SharePoint applications.

Key Competencies:
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
• Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project
lifecycle
• Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts
• Advanced skills with MS Office Suite and other productivity software.
•Change management certification or designation a plus.
