Our organization has reached a level of maturity within our internally developed applications to where we are now looking for team members who have DBA experience who want to expand their experience to Oracle development focused on best practice principles around database administration and Lean Database. Areas of focus include
Degree of parallelism
Table space management
Stability and resilience
Development and deployment validation and automation
DB utilities creation
Performance and alert dashboards
To fulfill this requirement we're looking for an eager, self-motivated and proactive individual with experience as an Oracle DBA with experience in performance tuning, partitioning, table space management, index management, compression, degree of parallelism who is interested in expanding their knowledge base to DB development.
In addition to initiative development, the position will also require level 3 support. The application technologies in which database development will support our Informatica, .Net, PEGA, Tableau, Python and Autosys.
Experience working with large data sets in support of ETL processes.
Experience with database and query optimization.
Experience working with or creating partitions.
Experience being able to troubleshoot performance and familiarity with the Oracle's built-in views and tools.
Experience with Oracle Exadata.
Required non-technical skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsible, and dependable with the ability to work efficiently with minimum supervision.
Preferred skills and experience:
Experience creating and updating database objects, tables, view, procedures, functions, cursors, triggers and SQL scripts.
Experience with ETL/ELT toolsets, specifically Informatica.
Experience with Agile Development concepts.
Experience working in banking.
Regulatory reporting experience.
Experience in writing/modifying UNIX Shell Scripts.
