PERMANENT Desktop Support Analyst

Job Description

We are currently hiring for an outstanding permanent position for our client in Lake Forest! This is a PERMANENT Desktop support position candidate will be responsible for hardware repairs on laptop, desktop PCs as well as enterprise class printers and multifunctional devices. Candidates should have experience supporting end-users including but not limited to VP level personnel. Candidates will be responsible for Windows O/S support and Microsoft Office including Outlook.

Candidates should have experience providing this support in an enterprise environment. Have experience in supporting remote users using VPN software, resolving remote connection issues. Job Requirements

  • Most important requirement is Customer Service Skills. The candidate must have a high understanding of what good customer service represents, experience in providing service to customers from the janitor to the CEO and all in between. Must be able to work in a fast paced, high volume environment while maintaining positive and helpful demeanor towards the customer.
  • PC hardware repair skills with experience in repairing laptops, desktop PCs and enterprise printers and multifunctional devices.
  • A+ certification this is necessary, the candidate will be expected to obtain manufacture certification in order to perform warranty work. Almost all Manufacture's require the technician to have A+ as a prerequisite to obtaining their certification.
  • Proficient in providing support in a Windows O/S environment. Currently Windows 7&10 Operating system.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office suite including Outlook.
  • Experience in supporting Apple O/S and Apple hardware a definite plus. If candidate doesn't have this skill must be willing to work towards achieving it after being hired.
  • Experience with using an enterprise, Imaging and Software distribution software, Such as Microsoft SCCM or Symantec Altiris. Altiris would be a plus.
  • Experience with a ticket tracking tool such as Remedy, Heat, HP Open View, or Service Now. Experience with Service Now a plus.
  • Must be detailed oriented as they will be required to perform duties such as keeping tickets updated managing several service tickets simultaneously. Documenting all work performed to obtain problem resolution.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, Normal schedule is 7:00 am to 4:00 pm with a one hour lunch. Strong possibility of a need to start earlier or later based on workload.
