Pre-Sales Engineer

Job Description


We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to take on the role of Pre-Sales Engineer.
The candidate must have a proven track record of sales results as a sales engineer at previous companies with the ability to hit the ground running. They should be a thought leader in the security industry who can demonstrate the applicability of technology to customer businesses need. It is important to have a consultative sales approach to identify and help fulfill customer specific adaptations.
Enterprise Experience: Successful track record of relevant technical oriented solution selling to Global 2000 enterprise customers; security domain experience is a significant advantage.
Experience with various OS systems (Linux, Unix, Windows), various server platforms, and knowledge of grid/distributed computing a huge plus.
Time management skills to efficiently conduct business and use capital. The candidate will be responsible for supporting many customers in a variety of roles similar to SE, Solutions Architect, CE, Support, and occasional Development. Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.
Committed to building strong and successful relationships with various customer contacts . Exemplary technical relationship building skills with the ability to gain new customers' trust and confidence. .
Candidate needs to be outcome-driven and willing to set aspirational goals, including a way to achieve them despite the inevitable challenges that will arise along the way.
The candidate is expected to be an active and collaborative member of the Sales organization who will possess effective communication and collaboration skills and a commitment to winning as a team.
Executive Interactions: High-growth companies are well served by fostering open and transparent communications with the Executive team and conveying the state of the business effectively. The candidate should comfortable with regular Executive interactions and skilled at aggregating, correlating, translating knowledge gained in the field working directly with Sales as the voice of the customer.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
The candidate will report to the VP of Sales
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate should possess the following set of qualifications in order to be considered:

  • Knowledge of the overall cybersecurity landscape (SIEM/SIM, Firewalls, IPS/IDS, UTM, Log Aggregators, etc.)
  • Minimum of 5-years of relevant presales and/or security consulting experience with a demonstrated progression in roles, responsibilities and performance.
  • Experience with software-driven value propositions.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Professional InfoSec certifications, such as but not limited to CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc. preferred Knowledge of hacker tools/methodologies and cyber risks in general
