This individual will join a PM team within a tablet organization in a consumer electronics company for an 18-month contract. This team focuses on camera subsystems across an entire product line. This software focused Program Manager is going to be backfilling the current contractor on the team so they will be coming in during the middle of their ongoing project.
This individual will have to carry on the project to completion. They are going to be supporting cross functional teams to deliver the feature for a camera system. Since the candidate is coming in during the second half of the execution phase, they will need to be able to map out the rest of the schedule, work through bugs, deal with schedules slips, continue the communication flow with stakeholders and deliver per schedule. This role will not require international travel, but might require a couple of trips to the Bay area to visit partners down there.
Leading the team through definition of feature sets, specs, developing schedules, mapping out deliverables from the specs, loading them into the system, engaging with internal and external partners to work through all deliverables, and going through the whole engineering process needed to ship.
Must Have Skills:
-Bachelor degree in an engineering related field
-Technical PM, 5-10+ years of experience required
-Consumer electronics experience OR medical device industry is okay
-Strong software background and must be able to communicate with the software engineers on the team
-HIGHLY prefer to see candidates who have a background in optics, imaging or cameras
-Candidates coming from consumer electronics companies develop have camera related products: action camera companies, mobile phone, conventional camera companies, security camera companies
