Program Manager

Job Description

This individual will join a PM team within a hardware tablet organization in a consumer electronics company for an 18-month contract. This team focuses on camera subsystems across an entire product line. This electronic hardware focused Program Manager will be coming in at the start of an exciting new project! This individual will have to travel internationally to Asia to visit manufacturing partners during the duration of the contract.

Main Responsibilities:
This candidate will be joining the team at the beginning of a new project and will require a lot of the front end work.
They will be leading the team throughout the project with the following responsibilities...
-Defining the specs
-Schedule development
-Defining and mapping out deliverables from specs
-Mapping out the entire development plan with the dev team
-Engaging with internal and external partners to work through all deliverables
-Going through the whole engineering process needed to ship

Must Have Skills:

-BS Degree in engineering related field (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.)
-Technical PM experience (5-10+ years)
-Background in consumer electronics OR medical device industry is okay
-Strong electronic hardware experience and understanding of hardware development lifecycle/process
-Must be comfortable with international travel (up to 25%)

Preferred Skills:
-HIGHLY prefer to see candidates who have a background in optics, imaging or cameras
-Candidates coming from consumer electronics companies develop have camera related products: action camera companies, mobile phone, conventional camera companies, security camera companies (coming from companies like GoPro, FujiFilm, and Polaroid would be a HUGE plus!)
