Create and provide integrated plans for input to new products in development. Manages cross functional project teams that coordinates product development.
Responsibilities include guiding and leading the team in achieving the goals of the project including issue identification, resolution, and contingency planning.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality and stakeholders’ goals and objectives.
Reviews, manages, proactively challenges, and controls status of projects operation of the programs and budgets.
Manages schedules and prepare status reports.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with team members and line managers.
Acts as a liaison with alliance partners and thought leaders external to the company.
Interfaces with stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
Analyzes program certification schedule and performance targets/guarantee progress.
Develops draft master schedules for new product development.
Monitors variance analysis to schedules and budgets for all projects to ensure desired savings/revenue are achieved.
Monitors quality, reliability, and availability issues to ensure top drivers are identified and resolved.
Requires a comprehensive knowledge of Aircraft Industry Production, Engineering, Quality, Completion, Material and Service Support Operations.
Requires a detailed understanding of Program/Project Management processes and procedures and an intimate understanding of in-service A/C operations.
