Job Description

The Project Engineer will report to the President of a $30MM Gray/Ductile Cast Iron Foundry located in SE Iowa. This operation is profitable and growing.  DUTIES • Serve as project lead for capital equipment investments and upgrades involving new furnaces, molding lines and support rails. This will involve working with vendors to oversee proper installation, quality run-outs and ultimately sign off on the project as acceptable, complete and according to agreed upon terms. • As assigned, get involved in process engineering and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, implementation and training. • Continually strive to make the foundry operations more efficient and profitable through collaboration with involved personnel at all levels. 

Job Requirements

* Candidates should have earned a BS in Engineering or related academic discipline. AA degrees are acceptable if the proper experience is present. • Candidates should possess 3+ years of engineering experience in a foundry or manufacturing setting do project related work. • Experience managing capital equipment projects is highly desired.  • Lean/Six Sigma experience and knowledge is also preferred.
