Job Description

At company, our mission is to deliver the promise of the digital world by giving the ability to do more, innovate and drive positive change. Right now, millions of under-resourced, American students are lacking the technology and skills required for success in today's digital economy. That's why since 2012, we have been working to help close the digital divide through a transformative program called company Innovative Learning.
Our program provides free technology, free internet access and a next-gen, technology-infused curriculum that changes the way teachers teach and students learn. We work hand in hand with nonprofit partners and our team of education and technology experts to build and administer STEM-focused programs from the ground up. We Carefully measure and refine our programs to ensure we're making a difference - and we have. Our programs drive real academic improvements such as increased proficiency in STEM and student engagement as compared to non-company Innovative Learning schools.
Our goal is to invest up to $400 million by 2023 to provide middle-school students with the skills to put them on the path to success in an increasingly tech-dependent job market.
The contractor will be part of the Corporate Social Responsibility Organization and will report to the Social Responsibility Director.
Responsibilities:
The contractor will be responsible for the project management of the company Innovative Learning Out of Schools program and Mobile Explorer Lab program.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with the company CSR team and external partners to track and implement the expansion of the program to 9+ new campuses and manage 40 active campus program partnerships;
  • Project management may include tracking project deliverables, budget tracking and analysis, organizing program meetings and documenting next steps, maintaining data files, and tracking and reporting program progress and metrics; ensuring program goals are being met and on track;
  • Work closely with marketing, communications, employee engagement, State and Government Affairs and finance teams in support of the program;
  • Partner with additional teams at company to connect pilot expansion programs to additional resources as needed
  • Travel to participate in site visits and lead sessions with campus partners at key events
  • Process grants in support of the program
  • Manage VILS Mobile Explorer Lab and participate in planning for reimagining the content and experience for Summer 2020 in partnership with program Director
  • Manage subgrants to enhance VILS Young Men of Color and Rural Girls program

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 4+ years of experience working in a program management/project management capacity, preferably within non-profit partnerships and/or grant management, with key area of expertise in education and technology
  • Exceptional organizational, written/oral communications, Google Suite skills and other digital presentation skills needed
  • Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment managing multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously and independently
  • Ability to prioritize, problem solve, execute sound judgement and multitask effectively
  • Ability to work collaboratively with program managers, marketing managers and external partners to manage the scope, requirements and implementation of projects
  • Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Expected travel is 10% or less
