Project Manager - Sensors Research

Job Description

Infoscitex, a DCS company, has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, self-starting, skilled Engineer with Project Management experience to join our Sensors Research team.  Our team of outstanding engineers, scientists, and computer scientists seeks a competent leader to ensure that IST meets cost, schedule, and technical and risk milestones; while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction, strong employee engagement, and supporting business growth objectives.

In this role, your leadership will position IST to serve the Government as a partner of choice, and enable the ability to shape plans and priorities in a mutually beneficial manner.

Please note that we can offer some flexibility with this primary work location, even working primarily from home.  This role does require the capability of local travel to Langley AFB;  the Pentagon; Ft. Meade; and potentially other regional Military and Intelligence Center installations with perhaps no more than 1 day of advance notice.

Requirements:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

At least a BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or a related discipline, with at least 8 years of related experience (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity category.  Candidates with advanced degrees or varying experience levels may be considered for alternative classification.)

Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information: Active TS/SCI.

Ability to proactively formulate and execute strategies for successful contract performance and business growth.

Ability to track technical progress and milestones, and report status.

Excellent communication skills and ability to demonstrate this with customers, staff, subcontractors and company management.

Ability to engage in discussions across all technical areas covered by the contract in order to understand the mission and support the best approach to satisfying customer requirements; including: software development processes, systems engineering; cyber; IT and cloud environments; web collaboration; and ISR sensor data.

Experience coordinating the preparation and delivery of high quality, fully compliant contract deliverables in accordance with required due dates; as well as coordinating the execution of all administrative functions required by the contract such as contracting, subcontracting, purchasing, security, safety, and related areas.

Periodic short term travel will be required in this role (~ 25% time).

While not firm requirements for consideration, we believe an exemplary candidate would also bring:

PMP Certification – this is highly desirable.

Systems Engineering background.

Experience managing mid-sized (10+ person) software development efforts using agile methods.

Experience using Jira for project management and tracking purposes.
