Description: Project Manager (Optimum Business)

Summary:
The Project Manager provides business and technical leadership for major, high- complexity programs within Global Services. Lead global, cross-functional program teams by independently planning, executing and directing cross-functional project work for implementation of processes and IT systems. The Project Manager will make launch date commitments to businesses and manage stakeholder expectations with regard to program deliverables during the projects. Establishment and management of project management operating mechanisms. Identification of project risks and appropriate mitigations and contingencies. Identifying and resolve complex interdependencies within the project.

Ability to travel (potentially 5-10% of time) and conduct after-hours calls to meet Global time zones when needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accountable for core team performance, program schedule and execution, budget commitments and spend
Prepare and update project schedules, resource plans, project status reports, meeting notes, task lists and project risk lists
Conducts reviews with all functions and levels of management ensuring effective ongoing communications across teams and stakeholders
Ensures identification and communication of program/project risks, development of risk plan and proactive management of risk response strategies
Anticipates potential conflict situations for proactive solutions and manages conflict situations to result in win-win outcomes
Maximizes business results through continuous improvement in organization's ability to execute programs from identification through implementation

Qualifications:
Business acumen and good communication skills with matrix management experience
Role model of Vital Behaviors and Leadership Essentials
Expertise in all aspects of program management
Has to be able to assess validity of overall program/project strategy and deliverables
Must have understanding of product and functional processes to adequately assess project risk and challenge functional planning content
Demonstrated ability to lead large project teams and plans
PMI or equivalent certification desired

Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
Plus 5-7 years project management experience
Previous experience successfully driving results in a multi-site, global or enterprise-wide programs in the Medical Device industry
Experience with Agile Methodology
Experience with SalesForce.com preferred
Software: MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, SharePoint.

Office
Sitting, standing, etc.

Round Lake IL (may need to travel to Deerfield IL on occasion)
