Position: Project Manager (Scrum Master)

Duration: Contract to Hire



Job Duties: Brooksource in Louisville, KY is searching for a Project Manager (Scrum Master) for our client in the healthcare industry. You would be working with one of our best client relationships in a fast paced, high energy environment. As a Project Manager (Scrum Master) in this organization, you will be responsible for understanding the view of the project landscape and focusing on high importance projects that are extremely face paced and highly visible. You would be required to use your experience with Agile/Scrum methodology to lead and facilitate projects when necessary and also leverage Waterfall methodologies when necessary as well. Understanding the balance will play a pivotal role in your success in this role. A few of the initiatives this candidate would be focused around utilizing Agile would be a new Analytics platform creation, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Telehealth.




As a Project Manager (Scrum Master) you would be expected to lead stand up meetings, planning sessions, iterative development, and story constructions when necessary around Agile projects. This role will also call on this candidate to perform Project Management duties such as creation and management of a project timelines, scope management, budget management, and risk management and will lean toward a balance of Agile and Waterfall.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • (Daily) - Utilizing ownership and commitment as the sole point of accountability, to work and manage competing stakeholder needs while anticipating and mitigating major risks. Understands the link between project goals and company-specific business context and/or reflects a strong learning agility in unfamiliar terrains. The Project Manager (Scrum Master) has the full responsibility and authority to make decisions in ambiguous or difficult situations required to complete a project. In this role you will be responsible for balancing and applying the appropriate methodology between Agile and Waterfall. A Project Manager's approach to the work, to others, and to self, must portray attitude of excellence in; Team Leadership, Stakeholder Partnership, Learning Agility, Risk Management, Business Knowledge, Ownership & Commitment, Judgement, and Process Adherence. Other tasks may include:
    • Running daily stand-ups
    • Addressing team roadblocks
    • Managing release plans
    • Managing Sprints
    • Leading Demos, Story Maturity Sessions, Sprint Planning, Release Planning
  • (Business Objective) -
    • As our client continues to introduce important and highly visible projects, they are in need of a Project Manager (Scrum Master) resource to support these initiatives and apply the appropriate methodology where needed.

Requirements:

  • (Required Technical Experience):
    • Minimum of 5+ years project management experience:
      • Experience in variety of methodologies, including:
        • Waterfall
        • Scrum/Agile
      • Experience in leadership roles
    • Must be a self-starter and be able to perform with minimal supervision while working in a diverse team environment following Agile processes for software development
    • Must be capable of managing multiple priorities
    • Well-rounded individual with great analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, enthusiasm for taking ownership, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to work closely and communicate effectively with developers, product owners, business analysts and stakeholders
    • Communicate with other management, developers, product managers, business analysts, and technical support specialists on product issues
  • (Preferred Technical Experience):
    • Oracle experience around implementations
    • Any experience with:
      • Kronos
      • ADP
  • (Education Required) - Bachelor's degree in computer science field or equivalent experience.
  • (Certification Required) - Certified Scrum Master (CSM) strongly preferred
  • (Location) -Louisville, KY; Nashville, TN; Tampa, FL
