Compensation: $47.50 to $55.00 hourly

We are seeking candidates in the Insurance industry to join an existing team working onsite with a local client as a Senior Project Manager. This long-term temporary employment opportunity is based in the Denver, Colorado area. You could be the Sr. Project Manager our client is looking for, if you like the idea of managing key projects as part of their strategic business plan. This position must ensure that changes are delivered to the expectations of stakeholders, because it serves as a key member of the team. The chosen candidate will also need to be responsible for managing projects to successful completion, ensuring that projects deliver on time, on budget, and in accordance with standards and guidelines over the entire project. How you will make an impact

- Gives a hand to manage dependencies among cross-product teams

- Teams up with Product Owner/Product Manager to see to it that the product vision and high-level business objectives are apparent and accomplishable

- Tracks and schedules projects - as per the Project Roadmap defined by the Business Owner

- Facilitates to classify, manage, and identify risk for functional improvement requests

- Oversees project planning

- Work in close collaboration and communicates with developers, technical team members, designers, and stakeholders

- Participate to facilitate creation and maintenance of the Project Roadmap with the Product Owner/Product Manager

- Amasses facts from business analysts, technical leads, and QA leads into references

- Lead the team focus on the on-time delivery of agreed products

- Contributes as Scrum Master for the developers on the team - clearing obstacles, ensuring the team is working effectively, and leading scrum ceremonies

- Administers deployment scheduling in coordination with tech lead, Product Owner, and Dev Ops

- Works with the Product Owner/Product Manager to turn the product roadmap into executable projects

- Produces detailed reporting to management on risk assessment, milestone completion, and project status

- Sets schedules and milestones with inputs from all other teams assigned to that product, manages project scope and timelines

- Determines project with correct ticket workflows and boards

- Creates and handles the sprint planning and grooming meetings and marks ticket assignments

- Arranges the daily stand-ups, assuring they are focused, timely, and brief

- Verifies the RACI matrix for projects in a product line

- Secure that the functional requirements are achievable, tracked, and met

- Work side by side with the Product Owner/Product Manager, Business Analyst, QA Manager and Product Specialist

Job Requirements

- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

- Project management knowledge, along with strong operation and project management skills

- Strong communication and social skills

- Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures

- This most important thing for any applicant to this position is to be flexible and focused

- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight

- If you are familiar and comfortable with IT project management methodologies, you can succeed in this position

- Candidates with a Project Management (PMP) certification will be the best fit for this position.

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant Project Management experience

- Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical colleagues

- Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

- It is preferred for applicants to have experience working with e-learning and blended learning programs

- Project management experience highly desired

- Proficiency in Proven Project Management

- Solid understanding of Improvement Projects

- Knowledge of Infrastructure Projects

- Project Management Certification experience preferred
