Job Title: QA Analyst
Location: Charlotte NC
Salary: $100,000 - 110,000
We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst for a direct-hire opportunity in the South Charlotte area. The QA Analyst will work collaboratively with our application development team and business units and be responsible for the planning and execution of testing on various applications and software.

Responsibilities:

  • Review functional and technical requirement documents to ensure requirements are testable
  • Develop and document test plans, test scenarios, and test cases on multiple work efforts of varying sizes
  • Support all types of testing efforts including functional, system integration, and regression testing
  • Verify that end-user expectations are met during the testing process as well as post-implementation
  • Document and report defects for the applications being tested. Coordinate with appropriate resources (IT and non-IT) to ensure proper tracking and resolution of all defects
  • Identify and communicate issues and business risks relative to testing and implementation
  • Work with others in IT and business units to determine the most effective testing strategy for work efforts of varying complexity and size
  • Ensures that defects uncovered in the test are documented, summarized, and utilized in post-implementation reviews to improve the development and testing processes
  • Provides status reporting on testing efforts (includes test case numbers, percentages complete, etc.)
  • Work with the application development team on various application testing efforts and to resolve technical support issues
  • Work with the application development team on the feasibility and timing of upcoming application changes and enhancements
  • Understand requirements, user stories, and use cases to test code and prepare for production implementation
  • Test and support various web and mobile applications and components
  • Conduct research and proactively make recommendations to improve application testing tools and techniques


Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience as a QA analyst/tester
  • Strong knowledge of testing best practices and methodologies, including the ability to perform requirements tracing and validations during testing
  • Working knowledge of full life cycle application development
