Quality Assurance Project Manager Job Description Summary





Brooksource is looking for a Quality Assurance Project Manager to join the Enterprise Business System Development team. This position requires extraordinary drive and forward-thinking, a high level of multitasking and collaboration abilities, along with the flexibility to grow with additional responsibilities and efficiently respond to changing priorities. Our new team member will work in a positive, supportive team manner with our development team, product owners to ensure all technical solutions retain a high level of quality.

The Quality Assurance Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the level of quality within the project management life cycle. This role will be responsible for evaluating and enhancing existing processes as well as analyzing project metric data.

Job Description:

• Attend project and release meetings, prepare and distribute notes to minimize QA Leadership time in meetings and maximize productivity.

• Plan, lead and manage quality assurance activities within EBSD projects from concept to production using recognized project management tools including initiation, control and closure.

• Develop quality objectives, manage, and maintain project plans.

• Interface with various groups to ensure that QA objectives and timelines are met.

• Drive end to end quality release planning to ensure on time delivery.

• Build and maintain QA dashboards within JIRA for each release with clear metrics to track quality status and project health.

• Drive the definition of quality assurance priorities within each software release. Ensure all essential content is clearly outlined within JIRA tickets with all technical details needed for the software QA team to plan their test cases.

• Mitigate QA project risks, if needed assist in escalation of potential blocks and or show stoppers.

• Ensure all test cases are assigned out and are up to date with clear ownership, notes and due dates.

• Drive the creation and execution of a software quality plan, plan to include Scope, Quality Success Criteria, Requirements Management, Test Case Management, Project Schedule, QA Resource Allocation, and level of Quality.

• Formulate project objectives, approaches, schedules, risk assessments, resource allocation requirements in accordance with project needs.

• Write and or revise QA documentation, processes, and or procedures.

• Establish and maintain timely and clear communication with the QA, project, and leadership teams.

• Develop and send out reports for all project statistics on a weekly basis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or relevant work experience.

• 5+ years of Project Management experience.

• Direct experience in the development, maintenance and execution of software QA testing requirements, plans, scenarios and cases.

• Understanding of software engineering best practices and processes.

• Experience with Continuous Development/Deployment/Integration design and best practices.

• A strong understanding of all phases of the Software Testing/Development Life Cycle.

• Strong communication skills; ability to interact with business users and maintain productive working relationships with other cross functional teams.

• Exhibit the flexibility necessary to effectively manage change and thrive in an evolving organization.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in an Agile environment.
