Team:
* The team will be working on Speech Recognition Products

Background & Experience:
* Someone with degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
* Coding exp and should have capability to run manual testing and need some troubleshooting skills
* Be able to communicate and development and program managers
* Have some Linux/Unix Background
* They need to have exp in QA testing and use test cases
* Need to have exp in Speech recognition
* Able to code and Coding in Python, pearl or Bash is mandatory
* They will be working with both hardware and software
* Have more board knowledge in both hardware and software and audio equipment as well
* Some exp dealing with device

Not to be into the resume:
* If they don't have any Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field, they won't be considered and must have exp in testing and exp in automation testing

Schedule:
* 40 hrs/week, flexibility in hours and might need to work different shifts and days depending on requirement

Mandatory and top 3 skills:
* Bachelors degree
* QA testing exp
* Coding, scripting, Python

Best V/s Avg candidate:
* Ideal: detail oriented and know how to dive deep in problem and navigating the root causes, ownership and positive thinking
Need of the position:
* Need more resources in short term
Performance indicators after ramping up:
* Be able to own 1 test areas and running the test end to end, opportunity for automation and actually improve the test by automating it
Tenure:
* Opportunity for extension or conversion depending on performance and budget

Interview:
* 1 PS and 1 Onsite
* Interview: The leadership principles, technical QA side, test plans/test cases and issue report, coding and scripting, understanding of speech recognition and natural understanding

Services to be performed:


Client is looking for entrepreneurial, innovative individuals who is flexible, detail-oriented, and thrive on solving tough problems. Primary responsibilities:
* Work with Program Managers and internal stakeholders to create test plans and test cases
* Prepare test data that needed during testing
* Prepare and set up test, including flashing devices, equipment setup and verification of all system components
* Trouble-shooting during set-up and live sessions, and ensure data integrity and document best practices
* Run automated and or manual test cases on devices
* Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality
* Analyze failures, and gathers logs/traces for further debugging
* Write, read, run, and enhance scripts in collaboration with SDEs and QAEs

Required Skills:
* Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field
* 1+ years of QA testing experience with writing the test plans, use cases, and issue reports
* Experience testing in a Consumer Electronics lab or field environment
* Experience in Linux/Unix environment (Preferred: Ubuntu)
* Basic knowledge of Speech Recognition and Natural Language Understanding
* Be able to travel to different test locations in bay area
* Be able to lift 3--40 lbs. of weight if and when needed to test, move devices
* May need to shift working hours or dates depending on the project needs

Preferred Skills:
* Excellent and proven troubleshooting skills
* Experience working with Hardware and Software teams for setting up, testing, and troubleshooting prototype devices
* Experience configuring, deploying and testing software updates including ability to identify issues and escalate to development as appropriate
* Experience coding and scripting in python/perl/BASH
* Experience in running user trials, beta, field testing or collecting customer feedback
* Familiarity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and networking
* Proven track record of using data to analyze issues, make decisions, and generate various solutions
* Exceptional attention to detail, ability to follow through, and strong organizational skills
