The Leidos Defense & Intelligence Group is seeking a Project Manager to support a language services program in Northern Virginia.
The successful candidate will perform day-to-day management of an interpretation quality assurance project and develop long-term and strategic objectives to ensure that quality assurance is in line with program requirements and goals. The Project Manager will perform horizontal integration planning with other functional areas and ensure quality assurance solutions and schedules are implemented in a timely manner.  The Project Manager will be responsible for the management of multiple initiatives to refresh, expand, and transition the current quality assurance approach.     

Typical duties include:  

  • Ensure that project tasks are completed within deadlines  
  • Ensure that projects are properly and adequately funded on an ongoing basis
  • Remain conscious of relevant administrative polices  
  • Establish and implement streamlined processes and procedures 
  • Prepare and execute deliverables in accordance with program requirements   
  • Direct the daily operations of the projects by analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines 

Required Qualifications

  •  Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Requires a BA degree or 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience in IC lieu of degree or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated knowledge of IC translation and interpretation fundamentals and standard operating procedures  
  • Self-starter that can establish priorities, resolve immediate issues, and coordinate with program management on complex problems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the role of an interpreter in different scenarios
  • Experience with standard Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate processes and procedures to program employees, partner organizations, and customer base
  • Proven experience coordinating and synchronizing multiple projects, developing and maintaining a master schedule, and preparing briefings to senior management  
  • Experience leading teams and working across organizational boundaries to meet program requirements  
  • Proven experience streamlining processes and procedures

  • Experience working as a linguist in the IC
