Job Title: Quality Engineer I (Solid Works and AutoCAD)
Location: Client, NY (Work On-Site at Decker Bldg,)
Duration: 12 months (Mon-Fri, 8 AM -5 PM)
Note- State and City of residence must be on top of the resume.

Deal Breaker - Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings
The position will require day travel to suppliers, other Client's sites, etc., occasionally maybe overnight trips.
Scope of Position:
In this position, you will handle multiple suppliers in a virtual factory environment
ensuring component quality standards are met
Supplier environment is non-clean room and has a job shop workflow
Effectively take action when non-conformances are found.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
In this role you will conduct a mix of electronic and/or on-site inspections
In this role you will work across various functional groups daily to accomplish goals
Investigate CAPAs and initiate supplier SCARs (Supplier Corrective Action Report)
Travel: 25-40% domestic travel required for this position
Education and Experience:
BS in Engineering or higher (Mechanical, Materials), minimum 2-5 years of experience
in Manufacturing, Engineering and/or Quality
AS in Technology field, minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Manufacturing,
Inspection and/or Quality
Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings
o Ability to drill down through a large assembly package
Able to use SolidWorks, AutoCAD to view models and drawings
o Ability to pull dimensions, check for interferences, etc
Experience with GDandT
Understand quality inspection tools and techniques
o CMM, portable CMM, height gauges, calipers, feeler gauges, bore gauge, etc.
Solid communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
Excellent organizational skills must be able to multitask
MS Office with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Self-driven and motivated
Manufacturing plant process understanding
Six Sigma training. A Green or Black Belt certification would be preferred
