Job Description:

Specific support will include:

• RF and baseband test and measurement experience. Familiarity with test equipment such as: Spectrum/Network analyzers, Power Meters, DMMs, Oscilliscopes, Audio analyzers

• Design, develop, and debug software applications for control/automation of RF test and measurement equipment using NI LabVIEW and TestStand

• Familiarity with XML, HTML/CSS/JS

• Experience with RS-232, Ethernet, USB, TCP/IP

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Positive attitude, openness to new ideas, willingness to learn new tools, and a strong motivation to positively impact the performance and work experience of the team

Qualifications:

• BS EE/CE/CS with a minimum 5 years of relevant experience

• RF/baseband test and measurement experience

• NI LabVIEW programming experience; Experience with TestStand API and process models

• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and Design (OOP/OOD); NI LabVIEW OOP

• Ability to quickly analyze and debug software issues

• Familiarity with software management tools (e.g. SVN/GIT, JIRA)

• Experience with data modeling, relational databases and SQL

As a member of the Maintenance Systems Engineering (MSE) team, responsibilities would include automation of RF parametric test and measurement systems in support of complex military communication equipment development. In addition, the position will include collaboration with other scientists, engineers, management, and other stakeholders to conduct data mining, perform exploratory analysis, build models, generate visualizations, and create reports.

• Continuous improvement of measurement algorithms, techniques and reporting to improve quality and reduce overall test time

• Consult with electrical engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate measurement techniques and corresponding measurement data as they relate to operational performance requirements of new products

Organize, analyze, and interpret large data sets from varying sources using automation where feasible.
