SQL developer

Job Description

Our client in Fort Collins, CO is looking for a SQL DBA to assist on a major government program .
This position need is mostly for SQL Server Database Administration for Web based .Net applications and integration with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications. Prior work experience implementing large scale relational data warehouse on SQL Server platform a plus. The position could also include some C#/.NET work, so prior enterprise-class web-based development experience would be a plus as well.

Responsibilities:
Lead the database design and database development efforts for specific application project teams.
Support database needs for multiple environments (development, test, QA, UAT) in a highly collaborative team environment
Prepare scripts for modifying and maintaining production schemas and data
Be responsible for SSIS, SQL Code, and Transact SQL routines
Assist with SSRS report development and deployment

Requirements:
Demonstrated proficiency in SQL Server 2012 or higher.
Demonstrated proficiency using Management Studio to perform operational tasks such as database migrations, backups, restores, scheduled jobs, etc.
Execute standard procedures with a high degree of quality.
Must have excellent inter-personal skills to be a superb teammate, and ability to contribute to a high-performing team.
Communicate complex information well using MS Office.

Desired skills:
Experience working within Visual Studio.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Data Tools.
Experience with database migration automation in support of a continuous integration, continuous delivery model.
SQL Server 2012/2016 certifications.
SQL Server 2016 Analysis/Integration/Reporting Services.
Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust.

Experience/Education:
Four-year technical degree such as Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or Engineering; or 4 years of SQL Server 2012 or higher experience.
