AZZ Bus Systems is a wholly owned subsidiary of AZZ Inc. We're an engineering and manufacturing operation located near the Jackson, Mississippi metro area. Our custom-built, medium voltage power distribution systems are found in power plants and large industrial facilities across the U.S.A., and around the world.
We have an outstanding opportunity for a high performing Sales Engineer to join our team. This position reports to our Sales Manager. The primary focus will be making sales to meet goals related to dollars booked, profit margin, and total revenue. Other activities include generating leads and establishing contact with sales prospects; maintaining contact with existing customers; developing and delivering sales presentations (including technical data); reviewing and discussing technical needs with the customer; and preparing and presenting reports which summarize and forecast industry activity, market conditions, and sales.
This position is based in our Richland, MS, facility. Up to 50% travel will be required.
Education, Knowledge and Skills:
An understanding of basic mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering principles is required, along with good sales, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. A Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BS/ME; BS/EE; etc.) or related technical field is strongly preferred. Good computer skills are also needed.
Must have at least 3 years experience selling industrial or engineered products. Experience in a technical customer liaison role may be accepted in lieu of actual sales experience.
This is a full time staff position that includes competitive compensation, incentive pay, and great benefits. Work hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, plus overtime as required.
