Salesforce QA Engineer

Job Purpose:

Salesforce QA Engineer will test and assure integrations, application updates, and configuration changes using systematic quality assurance techniques along with gained business knowledge to ensure proper testing

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to best practices in testing while continuing to improve the quality and productivity of our testing practices
  • Develops/executes test plans and test cases based on requirements, projects and release validation
  • Effectively communicates with product management and business to fully understand acceptance criteria/requirements
  • Develops/maintains knowledge of internal systems, formulas, and other industry-specific information.
  • Creates test data
  • Collaborates with the Salesforce team to develop effective strategies and test plans
  • Executes test runs and validate actual vs. expected results
  • Maintains documentation of all problems, reporting progress along the way
  • Participates in Agile Scrum processes and meetings
  • Influences decisions on testing approaches and test strategies
  • Works proactively with the Salesforce team to find and fix bugs by discussing and documenting the bugs, tracking them through criteria completion and validating when they have been resolved
  • Gathers quality assurance metrics and report out on a pre-defined basis
  • Participates in User Acceptance Testing when needed
  • Participates during deployments to test and validate enhancements and/or bug fixes
  • Supports the Salesforce team with testing third-party apps and integrations
  • Demonstrates knowledge of quality assurance, testing and/or software development processes and methodologies, with the ability to share that knowledge with peers, and project team members
  • Collaborates with the entire team to accurately provide estimates for assigned areas in customer/partner facing Salesforce.com project

Internal Responsibilities:

  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time.
  • Adheres to all applicable laws and regulations and the company's governance/compliance program.

Minimum Qualifications & Competencies:

  • 3+ years' QA experience, including creating test plans/cases
  • Strong aptitude to learn new software systems and programs
  • Excellent people and team skills
  • Comfortable with MS Office, O365, SharePoint
  • Ability to interact with software developers, product managers and business partners
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, parallel initiatives, and meet established deadlines
  • Must be detail oriented, have solid communication skills and strong problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or equivalent
  • Some exposure to SQL, Software Testing, Scrum

Preferred Skills but Not Required:

  • Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Analytics, Financial Force)
  • Salesforce Lightning Experience and Classic
