Salesforce Technical Lead (Remote)

We are looking for a Salesforce Technical Lead who will be responsible for delivering high quality technical work, including setup, code, configuration, and validation, to enable a large-scale, complex implementation of the Salesforce Community Cloud. The person in this role MUST have extensive Community Cloud development and implementation experience, and be able to confidently design & enable complexities beyond a simple CRM connection - for example, multi-cloud connections, OAuth sign-on for external user authentication, etc.

The role is comprised primarily of technical design & documentation of those designs, but may assist the development team with hands-on development in support of complex solutions, and completion of configuration and development efforts in a timely and effective manner, while working with other US-based and India-based development team members.

This implementation of the Community Cloud will be completed in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders, an international virtual team, and a tight series of deadlines; this role must be collaborative, a self-starter and team player, who can help drive the team to succeed and who is willing to pitch in wherever necessary to help the team get to Done.

Responsibilities:

Attend daily Agile standups and provide concise updates regarding completed effort and any blockers or concerns
Quickly come up to speed on a large and complex multinational Salesforce CRM implementation, to best advise on Community Cloud design & setup needs
Complete setup of environment, connection to CRM, configuration of customer community **in both the CRM and the Community orgs** to enable required business outcome
Join selected meetings with business users to understand requirements
Interface with other technical teams, information security, to clearly and articulately present technical designs for review and approval
Interface with US-based and offshore team members, with clean handoffs of code & other responsibilities, to ensure effective development
Document architectural designs
Salesforce enterprise-scale architectural design and application delivery
Established SDLC methodologies including agile, scrum
Collaborating with other Architects and Developers to provide technical design guidance to align with firm strategy and applicable technical standards
Working independently to evaluate and make strategic decisions that will address specific technology design needs
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in resolving complex technical issues; providing design guidance that follows the enterprise architecture vision and adheres to applicable application technology guidelines; and mitigating the impact of technical design to security, performance and data privacy
Participating in application solutions including assisting with planning and architectural design, hands-on development, resolution of technical issues

Job Requirements


5 years' experience in software development life cycle
5 year experience in Salesforce development and implementing Community systems
Required certifications: Salesforce Administrator certification, Salesforce Developer Certification, and Community Cloud Consultant certification
Knowledge of Salesforce execution flow, governor limits, design limitations
Experience with design & hands-on coding of Apex
Deep understanding of Salesforce security
Experience with Salesforce REST APIs and Postman
Expert level understanding of the Salesforce Sales and Marketing Cloud solutions, as well as the Force.com Platform
Expert level understanding of Salesforce Community Cloud solutions, and the challenges that are present with external user access to internal systems
Experience with Salesforce Development and general salesforce components such as objects, fields, workflow rules, field updates, process builder, apex classes, triggers, test classes, etc
Familiarity with integrations using Salesforce REST, and Bulk APIs
Robust analytical thinking skills with the ability to identify, debug and resolve technical issues;
Architectural domain knowledge including cloud application architecture and container-based deployment;
Business acumen that can interpret and translate goals into technical specifications, delivering thought leadership of specific technologies and driving technology change;
Business knowledge and interpersonal skills to build, maintain and influence relationships with key stakeholders.

Education Required: Bachelor's degree / Undergraduate Degree (e.g., BA, BS) preferred in computer science, information technology or a related discipline
