Security Analyst III

Security Analyst
Long Term Contract
Philadelphia, PA or Denver, CO


The Security Analyst will develop and support the compliance program for PCI and other regulatory requirements (user log-on and authentication rules, security breach escalation procedures, security auditing procedures and use of firewalls and encryption routines). This individual will be assisting with audit work, reviewing data flows, SD-WAN initiatives (PCI as a merchant), and network encryption.

Responsibilities

  • The team collects evidence, QA and measure adherence to regulatory requirements and security policies including GAP analysis, remediation efforts, program development, assessments of compliance, and risk analysis.
  • Prepares status reports on security matters to develop security risk analysis scenarios and response procedures
  • Responsible for the tracking and monitoring of software viruses.
  • Enforces security policies and procedures by administering and monitoring security profiles, reviews security violation reports and investigates possible security exceptions, updates, and maintains and documents security controls
  • Involved in the evaluation of products and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
  • Provides direct support to the business and IT staff for security related issues.
  • Educates IT and the business about security policies and consults on security issues regarding user built/managed systems.
  • Represents the security needs of the organization by providing expertise and assistance in all IT projects with regard to security issues.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of security issues, techniques and implications across all existing computer platforms.
  • 2+ years of professional experience within the security field
  • Knowledge of networking databases with a strong understanding of firewalls
  • Exposure to application development, database design, administration, and system analysis
  • Great attitude and eager to learn/expand skill set within the security space
