Senior Business Analyst

Job Description

Senior Business Analyst Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with Capital Markets for an opportunity in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate needs to have broad experience in Capital Markets/Treasury business processes, to solve complex problems, gather requirements and analyze data (data flows, data structures). Candidates having strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task and strong verbal and written communication skills will be best suited for the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Requirements gathering and analysis
  • Creation of business requirements specifications
  • Creation of process and data flow diagrams
  • Lead process re-engineering efforts with clients and IT teams
  • Troubleshoot and support of system interfaces
  • Vendor management for adherence to SLAs, contract negotiation, incident resolution and for system enhancement work
  • System/application configuration
  • Act as a liaison between Front and Middle Office teams and technical organizations by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of tactical and strategic business problems to be solved with automated systems
  • Provide expertise in identifying, evaluating, and building systems/modules and procedures that meet business requirements
  • Apply knowledge of industry trends and technology
  • Work with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes
  • Creation of test plans and test cases
  • Act as the 'go to' internal consultant within technology and business groups
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced staff

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of Business Analyst related experience
  • Strong Capital Markets and/or Financial Services experience that includes knowledge of Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives instruments
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Agile, SCRUM, Kanban or other SDLC methodologies and/or principles
  • Strong requirements gathering and design abilities
  • Strong team player, results oriented with a flexible approach
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to communicate effectively with development staff and team
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT discipline, Accounting, Finance or other Financial Services related discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • SQL skills a plus but not required
