Currently seeking an Electrical/Systems Engineer to provide engineering support to the PMA209 Maps and Sensors Team (MAST).
Essential Job Functions:
Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, and design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.
Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests or evaluates products related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Master's degree in an Engineering discipline plus at least 10 years of experience.
Must be able to obtain an Active Secret Security Clearance within 6-9 months.
Experience with design, integration, testing and debugging of avionics systems.
Able to work in a proactive fashion with minimal supervisory oversight.
Knowledge of organizing capability development and leader-follower deployment across multiple type-model-series aircraft.
Experience with and troubleshooting avionics systems such as Radar Altimeters, Data Loading and memory management devices, moving maps, operating systems and software.
Experience working with SETR processes.
Experience with reviewing system specifications and design documentation while providing detailed constructive feedback.
MIL-STD-1553 multiplex data bus system, ARINC 429, RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet experience.
Experience working directly with customers and vendors.
Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
Experience with NAVAIR airborne platform integration.
MS Degree in an Engineering discipline, Electrical Engineering preferred.
Active SECRET Security Clearance.
Familiarity with NAVAIR working environments and processes.
Willingness to work in a classified lab environment.
