Job Summary

The Design Technology Supervisor leads a team that delivers code and optimizes image assets comprising the presentation layer for pages on UPS web properties. The incumbent manages the content management system (CMS) for internally hosted marketing sites. This position provides advice and recommendations on UPS HTML guidelines that meet or exceed the UPS guidelines for web publishing and manages Design Technology Specialists.

Responsibilities 

  • Administers web design projects
  • Oversees web page and website development
  • Writes high quality code using proper coding standards, and web content accessibility guidelines in a fast-paced, agile development environment
  • Leads a scrum team of developers responsible for producing highly complex web application interfaces using the latest technologies and tools including Angular 10+, HTML5, CSS3 and associated technologies
  • Understands User Experience (UX) documents and prototypes (e.g. Figma, XD, Axure)
  • Performs quality assurance tasks, including reviewing and validating interfaces
  • Tracks and records changes regularly throughout the development lifecycle using source control (Git)
  • Manages and monitors defects, and helps implement process improvements to minimize defects
  • Adapts, learns new things and applies new technologies
  • Believes in the value of team work, diversity, and inclusion

Preferences

  • Understands user experience design principles
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in developing web application UI
  • Possesses JIRA knowledge
  • Experience managing projects
