Stefanini Group is hiring for a Senior Heallthcare Data Analyst in Portland, ORAs senior analyst, you will be working with a team dedicated to improving the health of more than 10 million people. You will work in both individual and team environments on a project by project basis, work in many technical disciplines, and are given latitude to create effective solutions to address business needs that directly impact profitability. The ideal candidate would combine their analytical acumen with relational databases and impeccable attention to detail to deliver key insights to support our business. You should be a self-motivated person who gets energized by interesting data challenges that, at the end of the day, matter.
This position is contract to hire, with an initial term of 6 months and a goal of converting to a full time position before the end of that term.
The Senior Analyst position will be responsible for providing analytics support and consulting services.
Responsibilities include analyzing the effectiveness of products and service offerings, profiling the behavior of consumers, providing key metrics and benchmarks, and developing recommendations for improving products. This position will work closely with team members responsible for data warehouse and report development to ensure appropriate capture and dissemination of key metrics. The successful candidate for this position will have experience analyzing medical and pharmacy claims for evidence of changes in utilization, closing of gaps in care, and claims cost savings.

* Interpret data, analyze results using analytic techniques, and provide ongoing reports, especially using medical and pharmacy claims data* Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain data systems* Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets* Filter and 'clean' data to locate and correct code problems* Present findings in written and oral format to stakeholders, including company executives and external clients* Work cross-functionally with Sales and Operations teams to provide data-driven recommendations and solutions to clients.* Provide recommendations on department policies, objectives and initiatives. * Evaluate and suggest changes as necessary to optimize processes and efficiencies.* Participate in special projects as needed or requested.

Required Skills * Demonstrated ability to analyze, solve and interpret complex problems and identify and apply appropriate analytic approaches to solve broad business challenges* Proficiency in presenting complex analytic methodology, results, and recommendations to diverse senior-level audiences through visual, verbal and written deliverables* Understanding of and experience with analyzing healthcare claims data required* Proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)* Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks and remain focused with multiple interruptions* Highly organized and able to multitask in a rapid turnaround environment* Strong collaborative, mentoring and interpersonal skills
Required Education * Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Information Management, or other relevant field
Required Years of Experience * Four or more years of experience in healthcare or wellness space required
Desired Skills * Proficiency with statistical programming (such as R (preferred), SAS, STATA, SPSS, etc.)* Proficiency with SQL (experience with Teradata and/or SQL Server preferred)Desired Education * Advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Information Management, or other relevant field
