Summary- The Software Architect is responsible for the development of technical specifications through analysis of functional and business requirements, coordinating the high and low level design effort on projects, providing guidance and mentoring on technical issues, helping to define and document development standards and providing architectural oversight on projects to ensure that systems conform to architectural standards. Primary Responsibilities- Develop technical specifications utilizing the Unified Modeling Language (UML): for the following: Technical Requirements, Roles and Responsibilities, Use Case Models, Data Models, Class and Program Specifications, Software Architecture Models -Analyze business and functional requirements for distillation into technical specification -Lead teams of developers and analysts during the design phase of project -Participate in project planning during all phases of the project life-cycle as needed -Maintain a current knowledge of existing systems hardware and software -Assist in the development and maintenance of architectural standards company wide -Define and document development standards for the team -Act as a mentor providing guidance to all team members on technical and architectural issues
Required Skills Experience- -Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience. -5+ years programming and Business Systems experience -Knowledge of information technology systems, infrastructure and operations -Knowledge of security methodologies, policies, standards and best practices -Advanced knowledge writing system and user specifications/documentation -Advanced knowledge of UML, XML, and XSD -Advanced knowledge of data types, schema, storage, and transport options -Strong time management skills -Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment pertaining to operating procedures and projects For immediate and confidential consideration on this Permanent / Direct hire IT opportunity, please e-mail your resume confidentially to [email protected]
