Enterprise Software Engineer

The software configuration developer will be responsible for supporting the implementation of a Lab Information Management System (LIMS). As the software configuration developer, you will configure and customize the LIMS software using your java and database (SQL or Oracle) skills. You will be responsible for both standing up the system with our of the box functionality and custom development needs to ultimately streamline lab processes. We're looking for someone that is comfortable with a changing environment, and has proven skills in java, SQL or Oracle, and a great personality.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in computer science, data science, or related discipline
- 2+ years experience designing and developing enterprise software using Java or J2EE architecture/ technologies
- Strong relational database knowledge using either Oracle and/or SQL
- Willingness to take on additional tasks
- Must be interested and willing to learn concepts related to molecular biology and genetics
- Knowledge of LIMS, or HL7 or HIPAA EDI desired
Responsibilities:
- Suggest, assess and translate system requirements from the Business Analyst into implementation designs and data models
- Assist in the development, validation and deployment of the enterprise LIMS software application
- Design and develop high performing and highly scalable data stroes, data processing and other backend services
- Use Software Design best practices to create and maintain efficient data analysis and workflow resolution
- Configure, distribute and troubleshoot hardware, including printers, barcode scanners and PC/Table PC devices
