Aerotek Engineering is seeking a Web Application developer to support a Navy contractor. The work is in support of a business applications for the Navy. This supports the work of the engineers and researchers. It supports documentation, scheduling, and employee management/status tools for the NSWC. As the developer you will be responsible for:
-Implement quality applications (be a good coder)
--------Follow PSR2 (commenting and syntax practice)
--------Write code with PHP and document the code in Git
--------Work within MVP guidelines (minimum viable product)
-Participate in code reviews (review others, and have his code reviewed)
-Write tickets for all work performed
-Provide technical leadership where needed
-Attending daily scrum meetings
-Estimating milestones and tasks
* (can interview / offer without clearance but they will interim clearance to start working)
* Must have a Security+ or Network+ certs on Day 1
* Must commit to obtaining the CISSP within their first year (PE will pay for it, this is a selling point)
* 5+ years of web application development experience with PHP
* Knowledge of MVC frameworks
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related discipline
* Must have good foundation of development principals
