Purpose of Position:

The Application Developer collaborates with business and IT groups to create and maintain software that adds value or efficiency to the organization. This person will utilize a variety of development technologies to solve problems, using the technology that best fits the needs at hand. This person will be a leader in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering and design, through development and testing, and will be called upon to support and iteratively refine the products that have been developed.

Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in the software design process, collaborating with IT management, and business functions to design high quality, effective solutions.

• Coordinate development efforts of 3rd parties, ensuring proposed solutions are well designed and compatible.

• Support business operations by assisting training and support teams in diagnosing and resolving escalated issues discovered by users.

• Perform code reviews

• Ensure deployment activities are done accurately, and carefully.

• Proactively identify potential improvements to existing applications.

Required Skills

• Must be highly reliable, trustworthy, honest, and commitment oriented.

• Must have strong communication skills and the demonstrable ability to communicate and collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.

• Must be responsible, and detail oriented, ensuring applications are built correctly, and deployed carefully.

• Must be able to quickly develop a strong understanding of the agricultural distribution business sector.

• Must have a solid knowledge of accounting and finance concepts.

• Ability to understand operational detail of transactional systems and their use in various business scenarios.

• Must be able to collaborate with less experienced developers to design solutions, and constructively review code throughout the development process.

Qualifications and Expectations

ESRI GIS (ArcGIS)

• 8+ years of experience with .NET Framework development (C# preferred)

• Expertise with SQL Server including database design, stored procedures, and triggers, and query optimization.

• Experience with modern cloud architecture and deployment (Microsoft Azure)

• Experience with modern web development tools (HTML5, JavaScript, AngularJS, Bootstrap)

• Solid understanding of architectural concepts, including Object Oriented Design, Domain Driven Design, and Micro-services.

• Understanding of application security concepts, including ASP.NET Forms Authentication, as well as Active Directory integrationSkills:

C#, .NET, GIS, WPF, AzureTop Skills Details:

Our client needs a C#, .NET Developer who has worked with Xamarin and is familiar with Azure. This is with a client in Northern CO and will be a long term contract or contract-to-hire.Experience Level:
