Infoscitex (IST), a DCS company, has an outstanding opportunity for a Software Engineer to develop C# and Java code.  This is an opportunity to join a growing, cutting-edge team in creating next-generation autonomy technologies for the Department of Defense.  As this Software Engineer, you will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop autonomous air vehicle operations technologies and decision aiding tools.  Your work will support production of new autonomy capabilities for the U.S. Army, and involves working with subject matter experts in Army aviation to develop state-of-the-art decision aiding and vehicle control.

Essential Job Functions:

In this role, you could expect to:

Implement algorithms, to include planning, allocation, and monitoring capabilities.

Work as part of a Scrum team, leading short-term work to, and providing guidance in, achieving long-term goals.

Employ best practices in the industry to ensure maximum code reusability, extensibility, and modularity.

Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced developers.


Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline and at least 2 years of related experience.  (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity category. Candidates with varying degree and experience combinations may be considered for alternative classifications.)

Experience programming with C# or Java.

Ability to apply technical standards, principles, theories and techniques.

Creative problem-solving capabilities.

Strong math and analytical skills.

Ability to participate in limited short term intermittent travel.

While not specific requirements, we feel an exemplary candidate would also bring:

Experience with SCRUM teams.

Knowledge of WPF, Git, NuGet, and Visual Studio.
