The Digital Precision String Suite (DPSS) team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated software engineer to develop software for the rendering engine for our desktop based Windows applications.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform software engineering over the entire life cycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, unit testing, system integration and documentation.
Work closely with other software developers, test team members, systems engineers, technical writers and end users to produce a high quality product.
Work in a security sensitive and process oriented environment.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelors degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years experience is required. A Masters degree with a year of experience will also be considered.
Candidate must have or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Experience in developing applications for the native Windows platform using C++.
Experience with DirectX, OpenGL or other 3D API.
Working knowledge of linear algebra.
Understanding of Object Oriented design (OOD), Object Oriented programming (OOP).
Understanding of user interface and user experience design as it applies to desktop Windows.
Experience or understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.
Experience with geographic information system (GIS) applications, tactical data systems, or command and control systems.
Familiarity with Atlassian tools, JIRA, Confluence, Git, and BitBucket.
