Software Engineer

Job Description
Purpose:
Support clients through development of .NET applications that allow our clinics to function more efficiently, as well as provide solutions directly to patients through our next-gen platform. You will work in a Scrum environment with daily standups, code reviews, and open lines of communication within the team. You will work with Project Managers and stakeholders to produce a high-quality, scalable, testable solution by leveraging strong Object-Oriented Programming skills and Design Principles. To be successful, you must be able to take initiative, ownership, and have a drive to solve difficult challenges with elegant solutions.

Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
  • Extensive knowledge C#, SQL, and JavaScript frameworks
  • Familiarity with C# ORMs (Entity Framework, PetaPoco)
  • Experience writing web, and Windows, services
  • Experience with cross-browser compatibility
  • Strong experience writing unit and integration tests, implementing automated regression
  • Experience working in a Scrum-style environment collaborating with other engineers, stakeholders, and QA to produce a high-quality product
  • Experience with code reviews, and ability to make meaningful contributions in them
  • Experience with source control (Git) utilizing Gitflow processes
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and experience in/knowledge of HIPAA privacy and information technology security standards a plus
  • Takes direction well and is excited to learn new technologies, design patterns, and architecture methodologies


Job Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors' degree or higher in Computer Science or relevant experience
  • 3 - 5 years' experience building high-quality software using the .NET stack
Essential Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit at desk in office location each normal work day
  • Ability to use personal computer
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in person and by telephone
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment, while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Travel required to support applications as needed. Less than 5% of time.
  • Ability to lift and pull 25lbs
Essential Environmental Demands:
  • Ability to work in climate-controlled office environment
Relationships:
  • High visibility and communication with clients, clinic providers, vendors and carriers
  • Internal contact with all associates
