This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of engineering the next generation combat vehicles and watercraft systems for the U.S. Army. Working as a DCS employee in Littleton, Massachusetts, you will design and develop electronics hardware, lead technical projects, perform integration, testing, and support the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle System Center’s development of the next generation of autonomous ground vehicles and watercrafts.
Essential Job Functions:
Design and develop electronics hardware including circuit boards, wire and cable harnesses for military ground vehicles.
Perform analysis, modeling & simulations including but not limited to: circuits and electrical systems, tolerances, and stress for reliability.
Develop documents including: Interface Control Documents, 1 wire and 3 wire schematics, Bill of Materials, requirements document, design description, test/integration plans, test procedures, and verification methodologies.
Perform FMEA or FMECA and risk analysis.
Take ownership of electronics hardware throughout the product life cycle from circuit design, document generation, circuit board manufacturing, design verification testing, environmental testing, low volume production, integration, verification, and field support.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Minimum 8 years experience with design of analog and digital electronics including but not limited to: sensor signal conditioning circuits, filters and protection circuits, microcontroller design, and low power circuits.
Experience designing circuit boards for safety critical functions, reliability and harsh vehicle environments.
Experience with PCB layout, PCB manufacturing, and circuit board assemblies.
Experience with modeling and simulation using SPICE, LTSPICE or other similar tools.
Experience with wire and cable harnesses design.
Experience with generating Bill of Materials, schematic, and necessary PCB files for manufacturing.
Experience taking electronics designs all the way through prototyping, integration, testing, and field installations.
Experience designing hardware for military ground vehicle applications.
Experience using Altium for schematic, layout, and manufacturing files generation.
Experience designing for management of EMI, thermal, and THD.
Experience working with radios, Ethernet switches/routers, and power supplies for ground vehicles.
Experience with unmanned autonomous ground vehicles.
Experience with Matlab Simulink and Simscape.
Experience with microcontrollers (TI) and ARM processors.
Experience with CPLD and FPGA.
Experience with Code Composer, C programming.
Experience with technical data package generation.
