Job Description: Sr. GIS Analyst
Job Type: 12 month Contract

Our client is a space technology company headquartered in Westminster, Colorado, United States, specializing in manufacturing communication, Earth observation, radar, and on-orbit servicing satellites, satellite products, and related services is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst responsible for developing medium to highly complex geospatial tools and applications to support operations in material selection, product metrics and reporting, enterprise and database management for internal and external solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Develop highly complex tools using scripting languages: Python, C#, JavaScript and other ancillary languages with associated libraries
- Identify solutions to automate processes or reporting using, but not limited to, ESRI Software Suite
- Design, develop, implement, test and maintenance of systems, data, software and services
- Develop real world applications from user requirements; write and debug code; and create user documentation
- Develop automated reports to aid internal customers and Project Managers with reporting requirements for projects within Product Mapping.
- Provide GIS training and technical support for internal GIS users
- Monitor and understand high level operational geospatial processes across multiple teams
- Support Intermediate and Senior level analysts in tool development and analysis
- Communicate with multidisciplinary teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively
- Perform basic data management activities relative to Operations project support
- Will be required to support GIS Analysts on feasibility assessments, tasking and production, and troubleshooting
- Provide support to the eGIS DBA with database processes, maintenance, and access
- Publish, refresh, and maintain REST services and Portal items in test and production environments
- Assist with machine learning implementation in AWS Cloud using lambdas and services
- Deploy applications on AWS Cloud EC2 instances, S3, or on-prem servers
- When necessary, assists in miscellaneous tasks to support various functional groups within Product Mapping
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Requires 5-7 years of demonstrated experience with geospatial programming, design and development
- Knowledge and experience in programming/development language
- Knowledge and experience in the following languages: Python (arcpy), C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, dojo, node.js, PHP, PostgreSQL and CLI
- Experience writing, debugging, and installing ArcPro SDK solutions
- Knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7 or higher; including ArcPro, ArcServer, and Portal Experience with ESRI Web App Builder and Operations Dashboard
- Experience using PostGreSQL databases
- Understand the components of a geospatially enabled database and experience building queries
- Understand the lifecycle of code-based solutions
- Experience using ESRI client based software or open source geospatial client software (i.e. QGIS)
- Experience deploying, maintaining, or managing ESRI enterprise solutions and associated REST services
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience. Desired degree’s include Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Geosciences, Remote Sensing, Photogrammetry or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in related field
- Understanding or exposure to AWS Cloud Services: EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, and Lambdas
- Team player with a “can-do” attitude and solution oriented
- Able to solve complex problems in a team and independently
- Understanding of commercial imagery and production workflows
- Ability to divide time between the maintenance of the current software and the design of new applications
- Possess full knowledge of the lifecycle of a web application or software-based tool; including install and deploy using IIS or ArcGIS Addin
- Detail-oriented and a strong work ethic
- Excellent organizational ability
- Considered to be a Subject Matter Expert in ArcGIS software and solutions
- Ability to work independently, be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products
