About this role:
The Sr. Software Distribution Technician will provide support for applications that are critical to UPS Operations. The Sr. Software Distribution Technician will assist in application setups for new and changing Peak facilities. The person in this role will troubleshoot application problems within established procedures and recommend process improvements. The Sr. Software Distribution Technician will communicate regularly with field personnel, corporate support groups and application development teams while building working relationships with them. The right candidate should have 2-3 years of experience with coding, testing, deploying, maintaining and troubleshooting applications in multi-tier environments and should understand the system development lifecycle (ALM), support practices and testing methodologies.
The Sr. Software Distribution Technician will be responsible for deployment support, installation, working with both Defect Reports and SMC, diagnosing and resolving problems, and, if necessary, escalating the problem to the appropriate level of expertise.
The Sr. Software Distribution Technician must be able available for On Call, On-Site night/weekend support based on business needs. Experience with Incident Management is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Windows Operating System, Technical Knowledge of Hardware & Software, Microsoft Office and LAN Technologies

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical training.
