Strategic Sourcing Operations Manager

Job Description

Our client is a global leader in on demand management and human capital management software vendor. They have an immediate 9-12 month contract opening in their Salt Lake City location for a Strategic Sourcing Manager of Business Technology/ Vendor Management to provide operational support and tailspend sourcing as part of the Strategic Sourcing team
 
Responsibilities
  • Engage with internal businesses to gather required data for sourcing projects or other initiatives
  • Manage source to procure process in alignment with category strategies (including preparing RF(x) documents, conducting RF(x), analyzing supplier bid packages, and selecting suppliers)
  • Recommend process improvements to create greater efficiencies
  • Facilitate integration of select supplier information into relevant information systems
  • Ensure functionality and accuracy of data content in the systems
  • Support Contract Management activities
  • Leverage departmental and corporate tools with a high degree of accuracy
  • Support measurement tracking efforts
  • Manage operational requirements (e.g., reporting, supplier management and/or supplier diversity) across the organization.
Experience:
  • 4-year degree in business, finance, procurement, supply chain or related degree program required; Masters preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Data analytics (specifically Excel)
  • Strong communication, collaboration and negotiation skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • 3 – 5 years' experience
