Systems Administrator

TCI has an immediate need for a Systems Administrator in Raleigh, NC. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. The Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and troubleshooting Client-Server software in a large-scale enterprise environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Documented processes / procedures, automation, and reporting to institutionalize end-point threat detection and response.
  • Reduction in time to identify and resolve vulnerabilities within the Postal Computing Environment.
  • Day-to-day activities; Interfacing with CSOC, Support patching, SCCM, Finding and removing unsupported software.
  • Operates, maintains, and provides customer support for a wide variety of complex technology components.
  • Works independently with vendors to resolve problems and implements solutions.

Job Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of recent experience in Desktop Management or System Administration in an environment where automation is required.
  • Proficient experience such as 1000+ desktops; 50+ locations; 20+ servers or enough to require extreme automation.
  • Scripting, PowerShell experience is important.
  • Experience with Tanium, SCCM, Big fix or similar product.
  • Experience with Firewall concepts and rules.
  • Experience with PowerShell, Python and/or VBScript.
  • Experience with WAN/LAN network configuration, protocols, and bandwidth restrictions
  • Ability to troubleshoot workstations and server (Windows 7 and 10 severs 2008, 2012, 2016).
  • Ability to independently install, test, and implement complex component-level changes within the technology infrastructure.
  • Candidate must currently possess or have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • CERTIFICATIONS: (One or more required) Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE), CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CISCO Certified Network Engineer (CCNE), VMware Certification (VCP-6), CompTIA Security+. (Nice to have certification: CISSP).
