Systems Analyst Programmer 2 (JO # 60500)

SALARY: ENTRY: $62,747 - MAX $108,061 Annually

 

Join over 600 technology experts in sunny Miami-Dade County.  Miami-Dade County’s award winning Information Technology Department is recruiting a Systems Analyst Programmer 2 who will assume responsibility for analytical and technical tasks associated with the maintenance and enhancement of the IDMS-based Traffic Information System (TIS), a major production application within Miami-Dade County. 

TIS is a highly complex critical IDMS-based application with multiple external interfaces.  The application tracks all Traffic-related citations issued within the County and provides for all phases of citation processing to include: Initial Entry, Scheduling for Court, Receipt of Payments, Recording Court Dispositions, Collections of Fines, Establishment of Payment Plans, Traffic School Tracking and Reporting to the State of Florida (includes the initial issue of the citation and all subsequent actions on that case, Suspensions and Revocations of Drivers Licenses).

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

 

Completion of 60 semester credits to include 15 semester credits in a computer related field or completion of an information technology certification program (Novel, UNIX, Microsoft, or Oracle). Two years of programming and systems analysis experience are required. Additional programming and systems analysis experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

 

This position requires advanced analytical and technical skills, as well as exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal.  The successful candidate must be able to address problem resolution and/or modifications associated with this application.  Ability to understand business logic and the impact of requested modifications is essential.  This position requires that the candidate is able to work in a team environment and provide on-call support.

 

Experience with the following is preferred: CA-IDMS tools (ADSO, IDD, ADSC, MAPC, DDDL, DMLO, OLP, PFCH, DME), COBOL, IBM Utilities, ZOS JCL, SPF, and TSO.  Highly desirable technical skills include: SAS, VegaSoft (Web Service Development tools), SQL and Microsoft Office tools (Work, Excel, PowerPoint, VISIO).
