Stefanini Group is looking for an API Engineer in Taylor, Michigan Description:The company's Platform Enablement team provides software and solutions that help develop, manage and grow our software platforms to increase productivity and enhance market competitiveness. Our mission is to encourage global collaboration and results-oriented innovation, while supporting and developing our talented people and our product teams. To meet the growing needs of the business, the Platform Enablement team is looking for a highly motivated, technology focused individual to support operations for API Platform.Key responsibilities:This position will be responsible for operating and supporting core API Platform components including API gateways, edge routing solutions and security tools that support millions of calls a day for users across the globe.Operate and maintain a global API Gateway (Azure API Manager - APIM) . Support monitoring and troubleshooting of core API platform infrastructure components and software tools . Work directly with product teams to perform API gateway analysis and configuration changes in multiple development environments .Design and implement APIs policies at the gateway to support product team requirements . Use insights and evidence from data to resolve incident and problem tickets involving cloud native microservices Collect, analyze and report key API metrics to provide visibility into the API ecosystem and portfolio . Support the operation, monitoring and configuration of edge routing solutions . Communicate changes and incidents effectively to all product teams using the API platform . This position requires the availability for 24/7 support based on an on-call schedule and 40 hours per week
Job Requirements
Skills Required:3 years of relevant work experience and responsibilityExperience in API gateway analysis and configuration changes in multiple development environments .Experience in operating and supporting core API Platform components including API gateways, edge routing solutions and security tools that support millions of calls a day for users across the globe. Comfortable working in a research environment where problems are not always well-definedStrong oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsExperience in taking a problem and breaking it down into components to systematically reach conclusionsAbility to formulate a challenge and find areas of interest to pursue that are relevant to introducing an emerging technology into a companyEducation Required:Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field or relevant degree / experience
