Technical Support Engineer II

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/Objective The Technology Support Engineer role is to provide high-quality technical support to reduce inefficiencies in existing support processes.

Essential Functions

• Deploy applications, patches, and updates to the Choctaw Global desktop environment.

• Create, test, and deploy software packages through relevant delivery method and Group policy.

• Write PowerShell scripts to supplement packaging and other support tools as required.

• Advise leadership and support our environment to help serve the End-User community more proficiently.

• Modify configurations, utilities, and software as it pertains to our changing environment.

• Modify configuration, utilities, and maintain Microsoft Government O365 and Azure environment.

• Develop and maintain knowledge bases and FAQ resources on the file server to aid in problem resolution.

• Troubleshoot production support issues post-deployment and recommend solutions as required.

• Modify configuration, utilities, and maintain enterprise Cisco network environment.

• Other duties as may be assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

MINIMUM

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience

• Experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualization environments such as Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.

• Experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Windows and Server OS versions.

• Application support experience with Azure AD and Microsoft O365.

• Experience with Cisco Network Environments.

• Experience creating custom scripts to drive installs, uninstalls, custom actions and system management

• Ability to troubleshoot Packaging, Deployment, and System issues.

• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment

• 6 years related IT experience

TARGET

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent working experience

• Advanced experience in Windows, Linux, and virtualization environments such as Microsoft Azure Cloud Services.

• Advanced experience with desktop and server operating systems, including Windows and Server OS versions.

• Extensive Application support experience with Azure AD and Microsoft O365.

• Cisco Certifications; Administration, Security, Voice.

• Experience creating custom scripts to drive installs, uninstalls, custom actions and system management

• Ability to troubleshoot Packaging, Deployment, and System issues.

• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment

• 8 years related IT experience
