Job Description

Job Title – Transportation Analyst

Location –  Multiple location across WA (Everett, WA, Seattle, WA, Auburn, WA, Moses Lake, WA, Renton, WA)

Duration – 12 Months contract (Possible extension depends on client business requirement)

Job Description:    

Provides pre-transportation functions for Dangerous Goods as requested by Client Programs. The candidate will be responsible for Dangerous Goods pre-transportation functions, including, but are not limited to the following:

• Determining the UN Number, Proper Shipping Name, Hazard Class, and Packaging Group

• Providing DG packaging plan

• Determining marking and labeling for a package

• Preparing shipping papers

Reviewing a shipment to verify compliance with the HazMat Regulations

• Signing the DG Declaration- Service Provider

• Save a copy of DG Declaration- Service Provider

• Arranging transportation for surface and air

Job Requirements

Provides support for the development of the statement of work to secure cost-effective transportation services. Analyzes carrier performance data for cycle time and cost Interfaces with internal/external compliance organizations and responds to Customs and Border Protection inquiries for export control issues to ensure compliance with export regulations, federal regulations, Foreign Trade Regulations and the client Compliance Offices. Plans & certifies the shipment of dangerous goods. Investigates loss and damage claims to carriers. Designs transportation plans and solutions. Provides program managers with the development of transportation plans. Identifies requirements and business rules for third party freight audit and payment provider to ensure compliance
