UPS Capital - BIA Database Developer Analyst

Job Description

UPS Capital is looking for a Business Intelligence and Analysis (BIA) Analyst to join the UPSC BIA function. He/She interacts with UPS Capital business functions to provide data/reporting visibility to the organization. The Business Intelligence and Analysis Analyst works independently and in cross-functional teams in order to complete project deliverables. The project consists of creating analytics and reports by using various presentation programs such as Power BI and conducting ad-hoc data research/analytics.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Gathers data requirements to meet users and business needs
  • Performs complex queries using SQL and/or MS Access to pull, analyze and synthesize insights based on business requests
  • Communicates findings from analytics to key stakeholders and recommends next steps
  • Manages multiple projects across various business functions

Knowledge and Skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Access and Excel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SQL (creating queries and stored procedures)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI
  • Ability to understand data and its business context
  • Ability to troubleshoot data and provide recommendations on how to improve data integrity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Ability to multitask and work with cross functional teams 
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Analysis skills
  • Experience manipulating large sets of databases
  • Bachelor's Degree (or internationally comparable degree) in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Marketing, Economics or Business Administration - Preferred
