industrial engineer

Job Description

A reputable employer in the compressor and blower industry is actively looking to add an Industrial Engineer to their team.

This company is in the process of bringing 30-40% new business into the plant and looking for an IE who would be able to help set up and help ensure maximum efficiency is met at the plant.

The candidate for this position will initially be responsible for evaluating the entire plant layout and current machining processes. From there, they need to determine where/how they will incorporate new equipment which means optimizing other processes. The big thing for this position will be taking all of the data collected and creating action from that. This candidate will have the resources needed to do that.

The candidate is responsible for optimizing direct and indirect manufacturing labor and in-plant material flow via time studies. They will optimize plant layouts that support the goal of 3 machines per operator. Support safety team as design of ergonomic solutions. Be heavily partnered for new product launches.

Must Haves

1. 5+ years of Industrial Engineering
2. SMED Experience- This is tied directly to machining processes.
3. Plant Layout Optimization, Time Studies, Material Flow, experience.
4. Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering

Plus
1. Experience doing this in Union Environment
